Founded in 1994 by Congressmember Tony Cardenas, Secretary of State Alex Padilla and VICA President Stuart Waldman, the San Fernando Valley Young Democrats today serves as the premiere Democratic organization for young professionals in the San Fernando Valley. Through promoting activism in state and local politics, SFVYD advocates for the core principles of the Democratic Party while providing opportunities to meet new people and establish meaningful contacts in the political community.
